Apple's AI chief John Giannandrea has stepped down following repeated Mistral AI released Mistral 3, a family of 10 open-weight models including flagship Large 3 and nine smaller variants optimized for edge devices. The Ministral 3 lineup offers 3B, 8B, and 14B parameter models capable of running on laptops, phones, drones, and robots without internet connectivity, reinforcing Europe's commitment to open-source AI development.
