Microsoft's Copilot evolves from chatbot to autonomous assistant that executes multi-step tasks across Office apps.

Microsoft has launched Copilot Cowork, a major upgrade that transforms Copilot from a conversational chatbot into an active task-executing assistant inside Microsoft 365. Users describe what needs to be done in natural language, and Cowork breaks it into steps, completing them across Outlook, Teams, and Excel using existing work data. It can reschedule meetings, prepare client documents, research companies, or plan product launches — all running in the background while checking in when needed. This deep integration into 365 workflows gives Microsoft a distribution edge in the agentic AI race. The system stays within Microsoft 365's security and compliance framework throughout.

Anthropic has unveiled the Claude Marketplace, a new enterprise platform allowing customers to purchase third-party software built on Claude using their existing Anthropic spending commitment. The marketplace operates with zero commission on transactions, with Anthropic handling all invoicing for partner spend. Launch partners include major players like Snowflake, Lovable, GitLab, Harvey, Replit, and Rogo. This pricing model could significantly boost enterprise stickiness and ecosystem lock-in. The company is actively seeking additional partners to expand the marketplace, signaling aggressive growth ambitions as it competes with OpenAI and Google for enterprise AI dominance.

🔒 OpenAI ships Codex Security to scan vulnerabilities 🔒
New AI security agent analyzes codebases and proposes ready-to-deploy fixes in sandboxed environments.

OpenAI has launched Codex Security, an AI-powered application security agent now available in research preview for Pro, Enterprise, Edu, and Business customers. The tool analyzes repositories, builds deep context around codebases, and identifies high-impact vulnerabilities before proposing fixes. In its first 30 days, Codex Security scanned over 1.2 million commits, surfacing 792 critical and more than 10,500 high-severity findings across open-source projects. This rollout positions OpenAI to compete directly with established application security tools, leveraging AI's ability to understand complex code relationships at scale.
