Multimodal AI goes multilingual
Meta has released Llama 4, their newest multimodal foundation model designed for text, vision, and reasoning tasks. The model introduces significant improvements in factuality and safety while reducing hallucinations compared to previous versions. Llama 4 features enhanced instruction-following capabilities and supports eight languages including English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Arabic, and Hindi. Currently available in 8B and 90B parameter sizes with the 400B version coming soon, the model can be accessed through Meta AI, downloaded directly, or used via Huggingface.

AI assistant gets major enhancements
Microsoft has unveiled an extensive suite of new Copilot features enhancing its AI assistant capabilities. Additional innovations include Podcasts, Shopping integration, Deep Research for complex topics, and enhanced Search functionality that improves information retrieval. Teaching robots by human example
Accenture and Schaeffler are collaborating on an advanced industrial automation platform powered by NVIDIA Omniverse. The system enables realistic factory simulations where humanoid robots learn tasks by observing human movements, which are then translated back into operational protocols. This technology addresses the growing expectation that AMRs and humanoid robots will become standard in manufacturing environments. Initial implementations show significant improvements in training time and adaptation to new tasks.

Hakkoda brings a strong portfolio of generative AI powered assets that can accelerate data modernization projects, along with industry-specific solutions for financial services, public sector, and healthcare. This strategic move positions IBM to better meet the rapidly growing demand for enterprise intelligence services, projected to reach $243 billion by 2028.
