New COPILOT function brings AI to spreadsheet formulas
Microsoft is rolling out a new COPILOT function that lets users perform AI tasks directly in Excel cells using natural language prompts. The function can summarize feedback, categorize data, and generate content by simply typing =COPILOT(prompt, data range). Results automatically update when underlying data changes, integrating seamlessly with Excel's calculation engine. Currently available to Beta Channel users with Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses, the feature supports 100 calls every 10 minutes.
