Analytics vendor Mixpanel incident exposes API user information
OpenAI disclosed that analytics vendor Mixpanel suffered a security incident on November 9, with an attacker exporting API users' profile information including names, emails, locations, and device details. While no chat data, API keys, or payment details were compromised, the company has removed Mixpanel and is directly notifying affected users about potential phishing risks. Only API users were affected, not regular ChatGPT users.

Chinese tech giant enters smart glasses market with AI-powered device
Alibaba's Quark AI Glasses went on sale Thursday, marking the company's first foray into smart glasses with prices starting at 3,799 yuan ($537) for the S1 model. The glasses feature built-in cameras and display screens, powered by Alibaba's Qwen AI models for voice control and real-time translation. Users can take photos of products to instantly see prices on Taobao, while the device offers AI meeting notes and virtual assistant capabilities.

Usage limits tightened as advanced AI features strain capacity
Google has updated access limits for Gemini 3 Pro's free tier, with users now only guaranteed basic access while daily limits may change frequently when using advanced features. The restrictions particularly affect Thinking mode with 3 Pro, and NotebookLM has rolled back access to new features for free users while implementing limits even for Pro subscribers. The changes reflect growing demand across the industry.

🤖 DeepSeek's AI achieves IMO gold 🤖
China's DeepSeek has released DeepSeek-Math-V2, achieving gold-medal performance on the International Mathematical Olympiad 2025. The open-source AI model scored 118/120 on the challenging Putnam competition, demonstrating advanced mathematical reasoning capabilities. This breakthrough makes research-level mathematical AI freely available to developers worldwide, breaking down barriers previously held by proprietary systems.
